So, the cake came out pretty yummy though it wasn't a very pretty cake. Cake decorator I am NOT! I need to figure out my oven. It was definitely over done, not burned exactly but the bottom was over cooked and I found it to be a bit drier than it should have been.
As was noted in the comments...yes a special cake was baked for yesterday because yesterday was a special day. I baked my birthday cake. I decided if I wanted a certain cake then I would bake it. Besides, with the tournament at work and two other people with birthdays in the week we needed a cake there to celebrate.
I did get a picture of the remains of the cake so may post it later...
Now for the next baking adventure...hmm...what shall it be? Something pumpkin maybe? LMSS any ideas on something pumpkin?
