Cake

Here I sit smelling the white chocolate cake cooking in the oven when I should be in bed sleeping. However, the cake smells yummy! I am going to ice it and take it to work to share later. It is a cake I love. I make it from scratch once every so often ( last time was probably ten years ago). I love the way it tastes but it totally messes up the kitchen. Between separating eggs, melting chocolate, beating and folding in the stiff egg whites, sifting the flour, creaming the butter and sugar...well you use every available space and many, many dishes and then you have to make the icing... If it looks as good as it smells I will take pictures...
Update of sorts...my oven is hot, maybe too hot. The cakes cooked quite a bit quicker than they were supposed to. I got to them before they burned but...glad I believe in checking on things and not relying on timers...
