Daddy

My brother called this evening (Sunday) to give some bad/sad news. My father died today. My Dad was 78 and while he had been in declining health for a few years now this was a shock. He died at home with my Mother by his side. Funeral arrangements are pending and I will write more about everything when I manage to get some sleep and have time to process the whole shock. I will say here that I am grateful to have had this wonderful man as my father. he was not perfect but he loved and he tried and it came through in all he did. He was the most intelligent man I knew. He will be missed. I love him so dearly. I am forever grateful that i have the eternal perspective I do . That my church teaches me that families are eternal and so I know that one I will see my Dad again. That doesn't mean I won't and don't miss him now but it gives me some peace.
