Thanks

Just wanted to say thanks to all the condolences offered on my Fathers passing.
The weekend was a long one. It was really good to see and visit with my relatives. My Mom's younger brother and his wife made it, as did their daughter and a nephew on my father's side and his wife.. This was the first time that my brother, sisters and I had all been together in 14 years. We really need to put forth more effort to all get together more frequently than that. I had seen my uncle and his daughter a few times for other family funerals...we need to work on seeing each other more than that as well....seems like it had been a bit longer for my aunt like maybe a vacation I took a few years ago to Nashville. (Nashville is a fun town I highly recommend it to anyone) As for my dad's nephew...we have photographic evidence that we meet Easter of 1972 but I wasn't even 4 yet and he is 18 years older than I. Neither one of us remember that meeting. He and his wife are really neat people and I hope we continue to remain in contact. Hopefully we see each other again before another 34 years passes.
As for the service itself... it was very much something I think my Dad would have appreciated. there were lots of people there from all areas of my Dad's life. From his church, rotary club, work, family friends, even some from his school days. Along with many there from my mom's groups friends. My dad lived his life to make a difference for good and from what I know of him he did. He will be missed but his impact will continue to go forward as every life he touched touches other lives.
I have many pictures but I am not sure if I will post any of them here. My brother has requested to not have any of him put on here and since the really important pictures to me are the ones of the family the four of us kids, us with Mom, and such I may not have too many to put here any way as I will honor my brothers wishes and not put any on here that are of him clearly.
Again, thanks to all who sent their well wishes.
