Update..or not!

OK so I would be updating on the whole Lap-band weight loss and progress from my appointment normally, HOWEVER, there was a problem in getting to the appointment this morning. Well actually getting there wasn't the issue. It was after I got the parking lot and was walking in that the problem occurred. How do I say this delicately? Well I will let your imagination fill in the blanks let us just suffice with saying I had to turn around go home shower and change clothes...so I called from the parking lot and rescheduled my appointment for next week. Much to my embarrassment found myself having to answer all kinds of questions on the phone about what had happened so that they could try to determine if it was band related. I guess if they thought it was I would have been told to come on up and see the doctor. What really bites in all of this is not only did I miss over 2 hours today of work but will be again missing 2 hours on Wednesday which means I will be trying to make up 4 hours next week. Also, I really need to get an adjustment on the band and get more fill put in so I am better restricted. I mean the whole thing about the gastric lap-band is to be restricted that is what helps with the weight loss process. While I have a bit of restriction it is not as good as it needs to be. I can still eat too much food, get hungry to fast and can manage to eat and drink pretty close together. The drinking aspect was the one that told me I was at the perfect fill level when even the thought of drinking with my meal or within a half hour of it was dismissed because of the pain and discomfort it would cause. Right now if I were to drink with a meal or soon thereafter all it would probably do is push the food through the band faster defeating the whole purpose of the band.
Tonight there is a dance and sweet pea, disco queen and I are going. It is the dance that is historically smaller in numbers but we usually still manage to have fun. Sweet pea has a fella meeting her there who she met at the conference last weekend. You go sweet pea!
