As I have previously stated I am a Cub Scout den leader, the other day when I was exiting my car for my den meeting something interesting happened. I nearly left my pants behind in the car! Seems they had gotten so big on me that when I twisted to get out of the car they kid of twisted off of me like a bottle top! When I stood up I had to reach down to below my hips and yank up my pants! Oops! :) I decided it was time to maybe go buy a new pair or two of pants and a get some new nice tops as well. I have a few things in my closet that still or rather that now fit me but not a lot it has been over 13 years since I was this size! Besides which I am now working in an office 3 days a week requiring a little bit better class of clothes than what I was wearing back then working in a gas station and a daycare.
Now I have hated shopping for years. Can never find what I like in a size that fits me and to have something that I thought look good on me was like an impossible task. But I needed new things so I grabbed Pinkie and off to the mall we went after work yesterday. It was so much fun! I knew I was a size 22 or at least that a size 22 pant fit me earlier in the week so that was the size we were going for and you know what? Every size 22 fit me!!!! I saw a really cute top I wantedto try but they did not have it in a 2x so I tried the 1x thinking well maybe but bracing myself for the worst. Know what? It fit me!!!! It was so cool to have to choose because not only were there clothes that fit but they actually looked nice on me and I liked them. Bought a couple pairs of pants and a couple shirts to flush out my wardrobe a little for the next few months. So between the things I bought and the things I have re-discovered in my closet , the dress my Mom sent me ( Thanks Mom!) and the clothes people are giving me I shouldn't have to wear droopy drawers!
Now for a reference point for you. Before surgery I was a very tight 28 and a pretty tight 3x or even a 4x . In other words I was almost unable to buy clothes off the rack even in Lane Bryants! And now a couple more sizes and I won't have to shop in the womens department!
