OK so how do you get pneumonia and not know it? For me it was because it was bacterial not viral meaning I did not have a cold or congestion that developed into pneumonia over time. Mine developed due to me aspirating foreign matter into my lungs. Yup. When I had problems with reflux at night ( which was more frequent than I like to admit but still ran in cycles of about three or fours days in row about once month ) I evidently aspirated into my lungs which in turn created the pneumonia. Scary thing for me is you do that too much and you die. But thankfully I didn't and we now are treating not only the pneumonia but also the cause of the reflux...more on that later of maybe in a post later not sure if I will get to today's doctors visit tonight or not.
So my recovery has been thankfully quick. I saw my GP on Tuesday and she did a repeat CBC to check my White blood cell count stated that if is wasn't down significantly she would prescribe another antibiotic she also wants to do a follow up chest x-ray in a month. On Thursday she called me with the results and it was basically a good news/bad news call. The good news my white blood cell count was normal. I was amazed that something could be so very high on Saturday and by Tuesday morning be normal again. Way to go immune system and antibiotics! The Bad news? Well, I am evidently pretty anemic again (or maybe still?) so she wants me to start on a liquid iron supplement because I have been on a pill one but she thinks maybe it isn't getting absorbed so thinks a liquid one would be more effective. SO the search begins for a liquid Iron that won't put me in the poorhouse. The one I have found is $76!! I can't afford that one so the search continues. Any ideas from you guys on where I could might find iron in a liquid form that isn't so very expensive I would love to hear in my comments. I am tired so will post tomorrow about today's developments where the reflux is concerned in all of this.

Have no idea where to get liquid iron - I'd call Merlyn.
The reflux was the culprit huh? I remember Dad telling me about that stuff - never occurred to me it would create pneumonia. Glad you're recovering quickly. :)
I've certainly been out of your loop lately. I've been sick all week with a lung infection and am finally back to school today after the last 3 days off. Terrible thing when you can't breath properly. I had to clinic visits in 2 nights, the second night was for the steriod prednisone because I know when I'm that sick that is the only drug that helps. I'm feeling a lot better now but it's scary when you are sick like that and no one is around. Thankfully I have Nick trained to call 911.
Anyway, I'm rambling now. I'm just really glad you're feeling better.
