So my quest for liquid iron is over. At first it was looking kind of bleak because the places I asked it was WAY expensive we are are talking like between $75-300 for what could amount to a couple of weeks worth of the stuff. WAY WAY WAY out of my budget. Then I went to one of the box stores ( that is what we call the big discount stores that offer everything from food to fashion to auto to drugs) and asked them. At first they were still in that $$$ range but then the pharmacist thought about some generic they had and looked it up it cost less then $7 f or a pint! They ordered it in for me and I picked it up a couple of nights ago. It is a pretty nasty tasting concoction but not really as bad as the liquid vitamins I was taking for a while so...So how is it working?VERY well! I had been crashing and hitting a wall around 3pm and falling exhausted into bed by 10pm and yesterday there was no wall, no crash and I was up till after 1am (I think because I just had energy to burn) and still up before 8am! Which is a much more normal sleep pattern for me. Is it a placebo affect? Could be but I don't think so. So this pint of iron should be enough for 3 months! WOOHOO! That's about $2 a month! Like that!
So where my health is concerned I am getting much better and boy does it feel good!
Work has been a lot of fun lately. OK so it almost always is but I have been having even more fun lately because I have been getting to be there that forced 4 days off was horrible. But also I have gotten to do some baking again there. Made some more banana's getting too ripe dessert thing. We didn't have enough flour so ended up using some corn flour in it and still had to go to one of the other courses and borrow a couple of cups of flour. It made it into a banana cornbread. It was yummy! This time I was a bit better using the mixer. You have to understand, this is an industrial mixer. It is powerful so when you add flour you have to be careful turning it on...last time flour was everywhere...this time not quite everywhere. LOL still got sent flying a bit but not nearly as much. I want to come up with a caramel almond icing for it think it would set it off perfectly. We also have a new bridge group so I got to do more cobbs and clubs this week plus since this time it was more of the hot side side that was ordered I got to help JB a bit with his side.
Got to go walk. More later...
