A friend of mine I have mentioned on here before, Disco Queen, was diagnosed with lung cancer a few months ago. She has never smoked but lived in Pasadena which is a highly industrial area so...? found out she is basically being sent home from the hospital because there is nothing more they can do for her. She was such a vital person. She lived life, enjoyed it. Loved her family and her friends. I am trying to hold onto hope for her but this was such a fast moving cancer and they have thrown so much at her treatment-wise that it really is in God's hands to heal her or not. I have already missed her at dances and such. Don't know that I will ever be able to hear another Bee Gees song with thinking of her especially one from Saturday Night Fever. But they are good memories. Love you Disco Queen!
On the good news side of things, a couple of my friends are going to the temple to be married there in a couple of weeks. Such good news. They are a great couple and awesome people on their own accord so the fact that they will have a temple marriage is icing on the cake.
I also got to see a friend of mine yesterday who is very happy she deserves it. She married and moved to Utah a few months ago so was in town to pick up her children from their visit to their dad's and called me. She and I worked together at the nursery. It was great to go hang out by the pool and talk and visit. (yes talking and visiting are two different things).
Off to work!
