Car Trips

Well, it is a 1200 mile drive from Albuquerque to Mandeville! And I drove every mile of it which, of course, I loved. I love road trips especially when I am the driver! How ever by the time this one is over I am sure I will not be itching to get going on antoher one too quickly. I figure by the time I get back to New Mexico I will have driven over 3000 miles but a bit less than 4000 miles.
I have my doctors appointment on Wednesday and that night a bunch of my friends are meeting up with me for dinner and visiting. It will be good to see them all. There are a couple who wont be there that will be missed but I understand and will just make the extra effort to make sure we get together in the new year when I get back to the area again.
One update...I don't think I told everyone here but there will not be a Half Marathon for me this year. It was just not possible to do the training necessary for it so I decided to wait for another opportunity when I get settled to do a walk. There are several possibilities including the Bataan Memorial Death March and the Crescent City Classic both are in the spring. The Bataan March is a full 26.2 miles so I may wait till next year on that one it is the end of March and that doesn't leave much time to train. But the Crescent City Classic is a 10K (6.2 miles) so very doable even with little training time. I walk nearly that every time I walk.
