Busy weekend

Well I think it is going to be a bit more difficult for me to post on here in the coming year than it was last year. Mainly because now that I am getting healthier I am going out and doing more so don't have the kind of time I used to have. Actually that is a lie I remember being busy before working and playing and not getting home till after 8 or 9 most nights. Weird thing is I guess I don't feel there is much to report in the area of my lap band surgery and now that I am going to only be going in to see my doc once every 3 months or so wont even have as many doctor updates. And I know this blog has not been exclusively about the banding or weight loss for a while but lately I have felt it was getting rather diluted from it's original premise and had about decided that I would take it back to the original intent. BUT if I do that posting here will be very little. So with all that in mind... I will when I have updates to publish do so but this blog is timelybeauty: my journey to true beauty inside and out so we will do a little more exploring on the inside stuff (well kind of ) but also on the outside journey meaning friends and social growth and involvement. So be warned lots of dancing Disco Dance and cub scouting Cub Scouts and dating ( well hopefully one day I Keep Wishing ) and in general stuff that that makes up the life of the this Latter-day saint Single Adult cub scout leader working girl's life.
You have been warned. You Have Been Warned

All that said we will start with some dancingMoon Walk. Friday night was the first Friday dance. Now the first Friday dances are not as well attended as the second Friday ones are but we go anyway because we like to shake our bootiesDancing as much as we possibly can. and really when it comes to these dances it matters not if there are 20 or 100 people most will be women and most of the men that are there will not do much if any dancing so we are out there shaking our booties in groups not couples anyway. Electric SlideDisco Boogie To the credit of the people in charge of this Church SA dance they did try to mix things up a bit and get more people there by doing a theme it was the super bowl dance. I don't think that games and activities are really what people come to dances for and if you do them they should be part of the dance not stopping the dance to do them but it was still fun and the food was themed as well. Pizza and chips and soda and a football cake and well you get it most of which I couldn't do but it was still nice to see variety out there in the food portion as well. Mostly when I say "we" about dances it is meaning sweat pea, disco queen and I. Though we did get baseballguy to join us this week It is a long way for him so we enjoy it when he does come but understand when he can't. Baseballguy has been taking dance classes for the last year and a half and it is really paying off! He has become quite Star 13 out there. Way to go baseballguy!! So despite the low turn out we had fun.
Saturday night was something called club singles put on by one of the stakes( a stake is a geographical area in the LDS church that consists of several wards or congregations) up closer to our neck of the woods so we figured we would support the efforts and go check it out. We this night is sweat pea, rabbit girl and I . Now rabbit girl and I are both Bridesmaids in Pinkie's upcoming wedding so we also went out and found our shoes High Heels for the wedding. We looked at several places but they were either not having what we needed or they were way too much $$$ for us. Then we went to a shoe shore called $14.99 shoes and yup all the shoes were $14.99. And we found our shoes!!!! Not only are they good for the wedding but they will be comfortable for dances and other things as well. AND they were under $20!!!!
So after that we go into this club singles thing and almost walked back out cuz we were like oh no! They had aarp fliers out and we were worried. But we went ahead in went in and we had a lot of fun talking and eating and getting to know some of the singles from the area. We played games Wheel of Fortune was fun and one group played a non traditional scrabble game where anything worked! It was fun to watch but I enjoyed my more cut throat game we played later.Good Game Goes to show sometimes if you get out of your comfort zone and open your mind a bit you just might have fun!
Tonight was the Break fast and fireside and Sweat pea and I attended it. I really enjoyed it. the speaker was the mission president President Steward. he spoke on "even the one" basically talked about the process of helping someone to come or return to Heavenly Father. What is means to have faith and what this life is.... the trial of our faith. Came away inspired and will write more on it later when I can get the words to say what they need to say.
As you can see the weekend was good but busy. The next week promises more of the sameParty Time
I promise to develop some new pictures soon and get some up for ya. I got a hair cut...actually more than one so I now have bangs and my hair is just to my shoulders so need to put up a new picture to show off the new do!

I was home sick today and have spent considerable time on the computer. I am checking in on all my friends bloggs. It is good to hear how well you are doing and all the fun you are having, it almost makes me want to be single again. I can see by your posting how your confidence is growing. That will play an important part in getting all those dates that are going to start happening for you very soon. Just so you know that you are not to weird (7weird things in previous post) I too wanted something different in my wedding ring. I was proposed to with a traditional diamond solitar. But my wedding ring is a .85 carret ice sapphire (pale blue, fancy color sapphire) in the middle with two small bagget and one small round diamod channel set on either side. I had a budget to consider so I could have chosen a very basic diamond ring or have the setting of my choice with the sapphire. I love what I choose, and I regularrly get questioned about it. Your not so weird after all my sound of music buddy. :) Guess What?

Hi there Gayle,

You sounds like you had lots of fun. I wish we had events like that around here, focusing on singles. This is such a small town that nothing ever happens like that.

Though, if you've been reading my blog you see things are a bit interesting right now. By the way, I have another update on that whole new situation. Stay tuned..lol

Hi, dear!
From 18 Feb.2007 onwards, it ushers in the Chinese New Year--the Year of the Pig! Giving Hugs to loved ones this year will certainly invite more prosperity, according to Fong Shui experts.
With your health being more robust, we are happy for your increased vitality and activity---dancing and more social, and eating! Remember, it is the Pig's year; people tend to overdo things, especially consuming food and drinks. Moderation is the key to safety and health!
My best wishes for your happiness and success!

With love,
Anonymous Hi.
