Printer Headaches

Well, I got a new printer/copier/scanner today. Thought with it there were pictures I could scan and post here or email to friends and family. I was all excited to have a printer again that would actually communicate with my computer. I was REALLY excited to have a scanner...not so anymore! the printer is awesome, i went on to the food network site and printed up some awesome recipes I thinking about trying for New Years day dinner. It is great ot have hard printed copy and not my chicken scratch notes. :) HOWEVER, the scanner is another story altogether! It has been a booger to get my picture to where I can get it to photobucket to get it here. Even sent a rather harsh ( well, for me anyway) email to technical support. haven't heard anything back yet but I just sent it about 5 minutes ago so they have another 55 minutes beforethier self imposed time limit is up. In the mean time I have figured out one way to do it but it seems sooooooooo stupid to have to scan a picture to my computer upload to snapfish email to myself and then copy that image to my pictures folder so I can then upload it to photobucket. Surely there is a shorter way to get from point A to point B? sigh! Till I figure that one out I do have the picture I have been wanting to get on here since I got the picture back in September. SO here it is:

This picture was taken at a Single Adult conference in September. To me what is significant is the smile. It is a true smile, an entire smile. It is one of the first pictures that captured me totally truelly happy. There is a sparkle in my eye, my whole face is invoilved in that smile. I haven't seen a smile like that on a picture of me for decades. I mean there may have been smile but they were half smiles not full ones. The eyes rarely sparkled and there never seemed to be true joy behind the smile. In this picture I see her. I see the happy me returned for a stay and it felt good.

SIGH! Just saw that part of the picture gets cut off in the blog. sigh!
