Latest From The Doctors

My doctors appointment went pretty much as expected. No fill this time, wasn't wanting or needing one. My total weightloss for the past mointh is 17.5lbs! As I expected he was concerned because that is a bit excessive to be losing this far out from surgery. He came into the room and asked " Is that acurate?" I told him it was his scale...but yes it was acurate because of being sick. When I told him about what all my GP said and did he got me a copy of my operative report (interesting read) and a brouchure to take to him. The look on his face when I told him what my GP had said about an obstruction was priceless! Could tell he was of the same idiot opinion as I was. :)
One thing I had not thought of while I was sick was going in and getting some of the fill removed but he said I should have that it would have helped me to get things to stay down sooner and my weight loss to not be so dramatic. So next time I will have to remember to do that. For this visit we just talked, and I got to ask a few questions mainly about being sick but it was nice to just be able to ask and recieve answers. It was also nice to see his concern, because while I am sure a lot of you were like WOW that is is great 17.5 pounds! It really was too much too fast and could be dangerous if it was not due to a brief illness and were to continue at that rate of loss. I did make a comment about well this makes it easier to loss 100lbs by my birthday ( coming up here in a few weeks not saying when but 11.5 pounds is definitly doable) he said that was seeing the silver lining. :)
A really "fun" "cool" thing happened in his waiting room. A lady was there with her service dog when I arrived and signed in and asat down....she asked me if I was going to get the lap-band surgery done? Itold her I already had it done in January. So we started talking or rather I started talking telling her my experiences so far because she wasthere for her consultation to get the surgery done hopefully soon. As we were talking a couple of other people in the waiting room started asking questions mainly because they were not bariatric patients of his but there for other problems. One of the things I like about him is while he has always been specialized in bariatric surgery he still does general laproscopic surgeries somehow makes me have greater confidence in him seems to show me it isn't about money but about the people. Anyways... it was an interesting conversation that encompassed everything from pre and post surgery stuff to my advice to hurricanes katrina and rita ( she is from Beaumont and had some pretty major house problems caused by rita). Made to wait go much faster and much more fun too. Wish Ihad thought to get her name and given her this blog address...OH WELL!
Time to go play!

Let's celebrate together!
A stitch in time saves nine!
By the time your birthday comes, you will lose further--100lbs, you say--Good for you! that's what I call determination.
Keep it up---erh, I mean, keep it down.
Remember, what Aristotle, the GReek Philosopher said to you,"You are what you repeatedly do. Excellence is, then, not an act, but a habit developed." You are going to obtain that excellent health by your habitual determination to become a timely beauty. I am watching you!
Congratulations, dear!
Keep smiling!
Sincerly,
520---
