Virtual Trip2

O.K. here's the deal...
I am going to be tracking everything I walk everyday and at the end of each week I will post how far I traveled and some of the sights I "saw" along the way. Still trying to figure out how I am going but my first stop will hopefully be Brenham Texas by next Saturday for the bluebell fun run 5k. which means that i have to walk about 50 miles by next Saturday. Which since I have been tracking since Wednesday is now down to about 40 miles so see you in Brenham next week Hello
from Brenham I am not sure if I am going to go mostly north or go northwest. North would take me out of Texas by way of Oklahoma. Northwest would be going out of Texas by way of either New Mexico or ( if I go more north than west) a tiny bit of Oklahoma then Colorado
When I Google going from Montgomery Texas to St Anthony, Idaho I get directions going more north through Oklahoma, Kansas, Colorado,Wyoming, then into Idaho. Which makes the trip 1600+ miles (gulp!) But those are driving directions taking interstate highways and not going sight seeing along the way...
Math problem here...if I walk 40-50 miles a week how long will it take me to get to St Anthony? 32-40 weeks!!! so my original thought to get there by the end of summer is probably not gonna happen.
If I change it up and go through New Mexico and Utah I add a little over 100 miles to my trip but which way has the best things to see and do on my virtual trip? Any suggestions from those of you out there? Do I go north or west? I do have at least a month before I will need to decide because it will be that long before I get to the fork in the road for the two paths. I will post some of the preparations I have made for this "trip" next. You know a listing what I packed for this long hike. If you think I need anything in particular feel free to tell me.

OBTW, there was freezing rain in south Texas today!!!! Freezing rain NOT hail! We are having to cover up our poor little plants~~they have no idea what the heck is going on but they need protection from this cold snap!

Pictures of freeze

OK the past few days the weather here has been a little on the cold and unpredicable side of things. So I have had several days off due to being in an industry that is kind of not cold friendly, you don't sell many plants in the rain and freeze. But porbably could have made to and from work on Monday. Tuesday maybe not so much home from unless I left early but today getting there wasn't even an option. The ice was such that my car was completely covered in a shell of ice, there are icicles hanging from my roof and poor little fruit trees that won't be having as much fruitthis season because well they fruited out too soon. But anyhow I think pictures speak far more loudly in this case. Now Remember this is southeast Texas not Michigan, Utah Idaho or any other northern state. And yes that IS ice on my tire! Sigh! Can't get the slide show to come up so I guess I will have to do this one at a time...after I try one more thing ...nope TEXASBLU HELP what am I doing wrong??
Here they are one at a time...Texas blu helped lets see if it worked...
