Easter Monday Fun

Monday was a gorgeous day! After a very busy work weekend it was very nice to have a couple of days to relax and even nicer that those days were perfect weather days. It has been nice enough that I have been able to sleep with my windows open and be very comfortable. So...back to Monday.CP and I hung out for a bit in the morning with him power washing his house and me taking care of the tomato and pepper plants.
Some pictures of the the plants...see the little jalapeno?
Beef Steak tomato growing nicely and getting bigger.

Cp power washing...

The tomatoes had some bugs on them so I cleaned off the leaves that had been infected, did a little weeding, and then later on treated for the bugs on the tomato and peppers plants. I got some cilantro to plant but did get to it on Monday hopefully I will get it planted soon. Then we will be able to make our own pico.

While we were busy working the pups were busy playing ...

After lunch we went for a nature walk over in the area we cleaned up a few weeks ago. I am happy to report that the area has remained clean. At the beginning of the walk my sweet pup decided to go off on her own and lost track of us so we went back to find her I was searching the area I seen her go wandering off in when CP tells me she was in the jeep! She had evidently realised that was the best place to wait for our return. After that she stuck close to us. We wondered around one trail till it ended at a stream. and then another one till we waded into the lake. We can call it a nature walk not only because we were out in nature but because we saw some nature. One was dead (armadillo) but it is STILL nature. The other, try as I might I couldn't get the pups to leave so I could get a picture of it but was definitely rather cool. It was a dung beetle rolling a dung ball. Before I could snap a picture the pups had scared it into hiding. :(

My sweet pup actually got in the water of her own accord and swam out to where we had waded I was so excited! When we went to the beach last summer i had to carry her out and then she would swim right back to shore. Monday she got in the water swam out to us and then hung out swimming for a bit before swimming back to shore. YEAH!!!!

Ohhh looky..... it's so GREEN.

That looks like a lot of fun! Good show on the veggies. I still don't know if I'm going to grow anything or not this year - tired of killing things. :P

I am so jealous. This week is the first time I will have had to plant.
Of my 9 tomato plants only 3 have survived, and of the pepper plants only 2. I have one cucumber that has decided to stretch upward. Sigh.
It is just not right,,,but I still have Kale.
