cobbs and clubs

Well, been a week or so and lots to report. I am thinking about taking a cake decorating class offered at the local community college the only thing holding me up is my car issues. My car is running and doing OK but...it scares me at times and the thought of driving it far from home on a regular basis until I get it fixed I think it is a fuel system issue so am getting the fuel injectors cleaned and hoping that fixes it. Actually I will be taking the class it is just at matter of which session I will take the sooner one starting this month of one starting next... when I asked CP if I would be able to either come in a bit late or leave a bit early on the day of my class he looked at me and said " so what you think you're a baker now? then YOU can make the banana bread!" We had bunches of bananas going bad so using 30 of them I made banana bread/cake. It turned out pretty good. OK it was DAMN good! the locker room guys enjoyed it and even commented on it to CP. So hopefully in the next month i will be posting about my cake decorating successes and failures!
Last night was a blast at work. It was the second Thursday bridge group and while they primarily come to play bridge about 20 or so will come early and order from a limited menu. I have been there to help in the past but most of the time I just do the dishes because there will be two cooks there. Yesterday however there was just jelly bean ( OK I know according to the poll I should change his nick name to cupcake but I like jelly bean! )and I so while he handled the hot side I did the cold side. We had premade 4 Cobb salads (except for the chicken and croutons which i put on when the order came in) and did some prep work for the club sandwiches so that helped me out a bunch. If I had made 5 Cobbs I would have been perfect with those...oh well! having the premade salads really helped. My clubs were not the prettiest of things but none were sent back due to the uglies so they must have tasted fine. I managed to keep up pretty much and it was an adrenaline rush. The FSM and waitstaff there weren't upset with me and while we all admit my clubs were not pretty they actually complemented the job I did so... in fact one even said I should move over to the line and one of the line cooks should be dishwasher because I was faster at it than they were. I said" yeah well get me a way from Cobbs and clubs and I will fall apart in speed and beauty!" But I had so much fun doing it last night. it was not with out its situations but I post more on those later....
CP got another puppy she is adorable...will post pictures of her later....
