So...here's the story, of a lovely lady, who was bringing up three very lovely girls... opps sorry. wrong story! Working in the kitchen we have a lot of waste a lot of veggie matter that would just make such perfect compost. Killed me to see it trashed. I don't live where I can compost but CP does and he had a sort of compost pile going with yard clippings and such. We had talked about what it would take (not much) to make it a true compost pile. Basically some chicken wire and some posts. So on one of my days off he calls me and has me meet him at the Home Depot so we can get the stuff for it. It was a fun afternoon. Moving the fire pit from the spot he wanted to compost pile to be, getting soot all over myself but especially my legs as I was attacked by mosquitoes. I am not joking here ATTACKED. I whacked my legs once and CP looked at me like what the heck are you doing? I said mosquito. Then I whacked again and he and I looked at my legs. There were about 40 BILLION mosquitoes on my legs and maybe 2 on him! I think those two were waiting for their turn on me! So he gets some bug spray...yeah it's kind of like the sunscreen when we went to Schlitterbahn should of applied BEFORE but better late than never. He sprayed me down well. The only bugs to bug after that were the fire ants. Yeah they got me too. CP showed my a fire ant bite (sting) on him a few days later. A not several but A single sting. I was lucky, I have definitely been gotten worse by fire ants this time only like 15-20 got me. Of course, all of those were right at my sock line but oh well. The important thing in all of this is now we have some place to send all of the veggie matter waste from work and CP is going to have some pretty awesome compost come spring.
