so week one of no fill...

Thanks everyone for your opinions on my situation at the doctors last week. Some may think it strange that I even asked so before I move on to my real reason for writing tonight ( an update of sorts) I will try to explain that a bit. I was concerned that by not being able to respond immediately to the comment the time had past in which it would be effective to say anything. You know kind of like punishing a very young child or pet for something they did hours before, they have no memory of the offense so the punishment just appears to be harsh and unwarranted. So thanks for you input.
NOW for the meat of this post... :)
The reflux has stopped! Completely. I can eat just about anything I want which is scary but I have been trying to be good about it choosing wisely and all. Trying is the key there. I have not been horrible or anything but boy did that pizza taste good! Only one slice not an entire pizza ( which it would have been in the past)! Mostly I have found myself eating raw veggies like celery and broccoli because it has been one of the most missed items I have yet to buy a watermelon but will be soon I can assure you. While I was able to eat a little watermelon and some raw veggies it is nice to not have to think is today a day I handle watermelon or raw carrots? SO while I know the sacrifice of some good things is well worth it I am "making hay while the sun shines" so to speak and getting my fill of those good things that will probably be leaving my diet here again in a few weeks. Since I have been a bit concerned about what being able to eat is going to do to my weight loss (truly I am hoping to maintain and not gain any during this unfill time) I have kicked up the walking and exercise again to help with any indiscretions in my eating. Since the heat index has been up around 110 at 6pm when I normally walk people have thought me rather insane to be out doing 12-16 laps at the track 3-4 times a week. BUT I have loved it! Talk about sweating! You know you have accomplished something when you sweat buckets :) Of course today with Erin the tropical storm making landfall in the area we had rain so no major walking but I did get in my half hour plus lots of playtime fun with the kiddos at work and believe me that can be a workout! Especially so when they can't go outside and you have to help them safely work off energy inside. Hopefully tomorrow we will at least get to go outside in the buggies for a walk that always helps a bit if the playground is too wet. It has the added plus of a workout for my arms pushing 6 kiddos in one buggy!
