Happy Memorial Day!

Arlington Cemetery
HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!!!
I hope that in the middle of the picnicing, bar-b-queing, and sale shopping everyone takes a moment to remember all of those who have given their all so we can have the many wonderful freedoms we take for granted most of the time. That in the midst of remembering those fallen heroes we renew our commitment to honoring and KEEPING those freedoms by exercising them, becoming involved, and using our vote to make a difference. I am not going to try to win anyone over to my political point of view here except to say we must fight against the erosion of our freedoms in the name of equality. We are not guaranteed equality, we are given the right to pursue happiness not the right to have it. Freedom is not about political correctness or an even playing field. It is about the right to based on ability go after your dreams and ambitions, the right to not be denied based on the way you look the chance to do the chance to be what you want if you are qualified and able and willing to do it.
Our government here is supposed to be one of the people and by the people however if we don't get out there and vote, write letters, and whatever other ways we need or desire to be active we will have what we have now a government for the people by the 22% who vote. If you disagree with me that is your right but it is also my right to disagree with you so don't expect me to be politically correct I will be tactful and respectful but the only thing PC about me is what I am using to write this blog.
So have a happy memorial day and thank those who gave you the freedom to bar-b-que today!
