New Bed Part II

I have it!!! It is here and all set up It is looking gorgeous and all romantic. Not that I have any need of the romantic part of it but still...I absolutely LOVE it! My living room is a bit crowded right now with the other beds in it but that is temporary. All I have to do now is wash my sheets and clean up the loft so I can figure out where to put everything that needs to be up here.
Some stats on the new to me bed....
It is about 6 1/2 feet tall the top of the mattress hits about my lower waist so getting on it requires climbing up a bit. A little harder than sitting down on my twin was but more fun too. Took my puppy about 10 minutes to figure out how to jump up that high. I was worried about my fan/light fixture but where I have the bed it fits though a lower profile light fixture might be in the future. Vetguy called it the queens chamber. I am going to take some pictures so I can post them cuz I just can not describe how absolutely gorgeous it is. Of course it is probably more gorgeous to me than to anyone else because I have wanted one for sooooooooooo long now. It is definitely going to require some other changes in the room like the dresser needs to be moved from the wall it is on and maybe painted... Oh well time to get moving...I have some free ice cream to go pick up for the ice cream social on Friday, sheets to wash and put on a new bed and I am sure that I am forgetting something...
