Side note here, "to post" used to be a decidedly British saying that meant you took something to the post office to mail or "post" it. Interesting how words change and evolve. And how the get invented too. I mean I never heard the word blog before the internet and computers. The world of computers and internet has given us all kinds of new words and new uses for old words haven't they?
Well onto the reasons I am posting right now... With some of my fill taken out I have had the return of pleasure to my eating. Which is nice..but..dangerous as well. I am discovering that there are things I am able to eat right now that I couldn't before like chicken and bread. Well actually I don't for sure about chicken I assume so because I can eat turkey. But having a half of a leftover turkey sandwich was absolutely yummy! But it is a bit dangerous because I did really miss those things and I don't want to gain back any of the 12 pounds I lost and would like to lose a couple more before I go in on the 13th for my next appointment. I allowing myself to indulge just little bit so I don't feel deprived but I am going to cut off the indulging with the return to regular work tomorrow. I am going to starting tomorrow make sure I measure things and eat properly so that when I get a restricting fill again in few weeks I don't have problems because I am not eating right. In other words I am not going to allow myself to be lazy with the rules of eating.
Just in case you were wondering....
THE RULES OF EATING
1. chew chew chew
2. chew more
3. eat with a baby spoon
4. chew
5. eat slowly but within 20-30 minutes
6. no drinking 20 minutes before a meal
7. no drinking during a meal
8. no drinking 1 hour after a meal
9. eat 4-5 times a day
10. eat protein first
I wrote a couple of poems, well not sure if they are really poems but for lack of a better word that is what I call them. Trying to decide whether to post them here or not. They make me feel a bit exposed but a good friend said they should be put out there for others to see. That way they will be reminded of what it is like and those going through it will know they are not alone. Someone else suggested making another blog for them...any thoughts?
