The Weekend and Doctors Visit

Alright, so I lied. I didn't get bac khere to post again on Friday. I did update the weight loss tracker however so you weren't exactly news-less all weekend.
So here is what the doc said about my hair loss. First, I won't be lossing all my hair and while it is not a normal thing to happen with lapband patients it is not totally unheard of either. Secondly, I am not "eating" muscles. I am doing fine on the nutrition angle and while I really need to get consistently up to 1200 calories a day I am not starving myself so I need not worry about my heart and other vital muscles. In fact he said with the weight loss I have had I have added about ten years to the life of my heart so far. Third, I am to take omega-3 fatty acids to help with the hair loss. the Vitamin C is great for my bleeding gums, the multi vitamin is great for the rest and the B complex is fine but won't really do anything to curtail the hair loss. Since B's help with stress though I guess if that is the reason for the hair loss they could still help a bit. When he said to do the fish oil I was like huh? Te main source of protein for me nowadays is tuna and salmon he said that is fine but still do the fish oil so ok. Will do. He said the women have more of an issue with hair loss than men and his theory on why that is is interesting. He says because we tend to have longer hair and comb it more it makes our hair more brittle to begin with and heavier too. So when we aren't getting the fatty acids we were our hair gets even more brittle and we loss some of it. He did state that he wasn't suggesting I go out and get a bobsy cut but maybe wear my hair up more and to try not to mess with it during the day. His comment was" I comb my hair in the morning and it stays all day. How often do you comb your hair during the day?" I was "Well, maybe 4-5 times a day I mess and fiddle with it." So yeah kind of makes sense. He was a bit funny at the appointment. He kept saying things like " or we can take your fill out and see..." I was like " ah... no, thanks... we can keep the fill as is." I guess I should officialy state what the tracker uptop says huh?
The Weight loss for the month was 12 pounds bringing my total from my high to 101 pounds lost, and since surgery to 87 pounds. For those who don't know On the lovely liquid diet for 4 days before surgery I lost 14 pounds. So for MY purposes I have lost 101 but for the surgery purposes it is a measly 87 pound lost. either weigh it is a lot of weight! So in another 13 pounds I will be officially ( surgery only speaking) at 100 pounds lost. I believe I can get there by Christmas.
This past weekend was a great weekend! My SA group hosted a hayride/bonfire and we 45 people come to it! It was a lot of fun even though all of the officially planned activities exceptin the hayride and bonfire were scrapped. We were going to do Kareoke but did not have the right cording for it and pictionary there was not enough lighting for but I really don't think anyone missed any of that. Afterwards a bunch of us went to the dance which was fun but also stressful for me. MrEager was the dj and well his djing skills are not as good as some others but they suffice for a fun dance. BUT the real stress came in that he came up behind me grabbed my hand and dragged me out on the dance floor! I had a cup in my hand and he wouldn't even let my put it down! I had to toss it on the table. Thankfully it was empty. Twinkletoes tried to do some rescueing of me while he and pinkie were dancing out there with us. I am thankful I have some good friends out there. They even tried to kidknap me got one hand out of his but he would let go of the other. He came and grabbed my hand a second time and took me out on the dance floor again this time while we were dancing he mentioned that the next song wasslow too so when the first one ended I made a be line for the restrooms and hid. So not like me! I am going to have to have a much more serious conversation with him and put up fences not just draw the line on the ground because obviously he didn't get the line on the ground conversation we had a 10 days ago. Sigh! Was hoping to not have to do that. Sigh!
It is late so I will post about Saturday's fun later on.

Shedding skin and shedding hair are common items of human beings; the former item is seldom seen by the naked eyes, while the latter is visble to the eyes. Besides Omega 3 which is derived from fish oil-tuna and salmon, omega 6 is usually accompanied it. The scalp skin has to be massaged regularly to strengthen it to hold the hair too, like muscles that need some exercise. Do not worry too much because by Christmas you will be on the way to timely beauty.
Best of luck to you, dear! And you will attract more admireres!

With love and keep smiling!
Cheers!

Wow... you're doing awesome! And the fact that you're following your doctor's advice is all the better... I like that he's talking to you about things like that instead of treating you like it's all in your head or asking you to pop pills....

I thought you had that talk with Mr. Eager... no?

Oh yeah - tag - you're IT! lol!
