Random thoughts and updates

Things this go round have been a bit more challenging. The new restriction caused by the latest fill to my band has made it all but impossible for me to eat any chicken or bread at all. When Ichoose to try to eat either one I must be very good about the size of bites I take, the amount I chew them and how soon I take another bite. If not I end up regurgetating what I ate which, while it is not as bad as actually vomitting would be, it is still a bit painful and not a pleasant thing. So I am really having to watch myself and not let hunger set in because that is when I eat too fast and don't get to keep in me what I ate. I am learnig a new discipline! How to eat small slow bites and take a break in between the bites when I am hungry. Or better yet how to eat when I am hungry but not starving which, for someone who has been in diet mode for 20 plus years, is difficult to do. I guess ( sigh) I had conquered the no drikning with meals thing so it was time to move on to the next thing to overcome. One of the biggest things with all of this is I LOVE chicken! I miss eating chicken more than I think I missed sodas when I gave them up.
Otherwise things are going well I still need to add in some more weights and cardio. Thinking seriously about getting a bike. Not for transportation but for pleasure and maybe to bike down to the Walmart ( 4miles) down the road to pick up a few things and then home again. Save on gas and maybe get inot good enough shape to bike other places. Of course it would mean needing to shower if I biked to work on the days I work at the office and not in the garden, in the garden with good deodorant I might be able to get away with it. :) Big issue with the bike is getting one that has a big enough seat for me. Thought about a recumbant bike but they are sooooooo out of my price range right now. But first of all I need a bike with a granny seat I can toodle around on then we will see about biking to work and back.
About a week or so ago I found out some great news. One of my adopted sisters is getting married in June! I am so happy for her! She deserves all the happiness and love in the world and beyond! Pinkie and I are charged with planning her reception here in Texas and we are having so much fun planning a fairytale wedding reception for her. After planning it we just have to keep it under budget! :) Don't worry girl! We will! I promise! Amazingly wedding planning is sometihing I actually enjoy doing. It overwhelms at times but I like helping people to have the best day of their lives and have memories of the joy of the day and not the stress of it. If we could figure out how pinkie and I would open a business doing this and not limit it to friends and family. But it just seems a bit too big of a dream right now. We are going to make sure we get pictures of what we do and keep what we can for future events.
As you can imagine with barely two months to plan and exacute the wedding in it is all consuming of "extra" time right now but something always is so it might as well be a happy event!

Just be careful to keep it SIMPLE! I KNOW how you and "Pinkie" are - LOL!!!! Just kidding. Wish I could be there and participate by helping out with everything - alas, I must stay here and protect you-know-who.

I'm so proud of you and your progress - sounds like you're doing really good. Reguretating the food sounds like no fun, so I'm glad you're watching it closely.

HUGZ!
